THE RIGHT THING TO SAY TO LAND AN APPRENTICESHIP

2 messages · last activity 4/5/2012

So I've been itching to walk into this shop and ask for an apprenticeship but what do I say? "Hey you looking for an apprenntice?" Like what's the proper line to say to make some artist even consider you to be sserious? Especially when all these tattoo shows make it look easy when its not and all these wanna be tattooist have no clue and bail. I just want to make a good impression. And not come off like a *poser* cause I'm not. Sso I've thought to walk in assk for the artist(s) with portfolio in tote and ask them to critique it getting some pointers from then taking their critissim and then asking well where is my level of work to be a tattoo artist? Where would I need to work on it? In my head I'm trying to hard with this method. So any optionss? I thought this would be a good way to establish a connection with the artist that would teach me. Thanks!
you should probably say something like "Can I book time for a sleeve?"
